Póvoa Dão is a seven hundred year old medieval village with traces of Roman occupation and a Roman pathway running through it.

Enshrined by a 120 hectare farm, through which flows the River Dão for 2.5km, Póvoa Dão is conveniently situated 45 minutes from sandy white beaches, close to an 18-hole golf course, close to mountains which are an ideal base for outdoor activities such as hiking, walking and skiing, and convenient for historic towns that offer excellent shopping, health and medical facilities.
